New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins Inactives

The New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins are closing in quickly on kickoff, as both teams prepare to do battle, in an extremely important divisional game.

Right tackle Marcus Cannon, tight end Michael Hoomanwanui, and running back Brandon Bolden are all active today, after missing multiple contests with injuries. Left tackle Nate Solder is also active, which is good news considering that he was diagnosed with a concussion earlier in the week.

Michael Buchanan was a healthy scratch, which is a testament to how veteran Andre Carter has played over the last few weeks. D.J. Williams is also out, largely due to the presence of Hoomanawanui. Hooman has proven that he is one of the best backup tight ends in the league, and I am sure that Belichick and company are happy that he is finally ready to return. It should also be noted that backup offensive lineman Will Svitek is still active, despite Cannon finally being healthy. Svitek played well in Cannon’s absence, and I would not be surprised if the right tackle spot was on a rotation, throughout today’s game.

Being without both Kenbrell Thompkins, and Aaron Dobson will be tough for Tom Brady today, especially after losing Rob Gronkowski last week. But he has enough weapons to still lead a productive offense, including matchup-nightmare Shane Vereen out of the backfield.
