The New England Patriots have downgraded wide receivers Kenbrell Thompkins, and Aaron Dobson to out for tomorrow’s game in Miami. Both of these receivers have been dealing with injuries over the last few weeks, as this will mark the third straight game Dobson has missed, and the second for Thompkins.

These two have combined for 67 receptions, 958 yards, and eight touchdowns. Even though individually they may not be putting up rookie of the year statistics, they have brought in an outside the numbers presence this year, something that has been missing for the past few seasons.

Fellow rookie wideout Josh Boyce will have to step up tomorrow, especially after we got a dose of him in game action last week against Cleveland. Boyce caught three balls for 49 yards in that game, showing us just how explosive he can be, both after the catch, and beating defensive backs downfield on the outside. Hopefully he plays well again against Miami, because the Patriots will need it.

After losing tight end Rob Gronkowski last week to a knee injury, having Thompkins and Dobson out this week will really make clinching the AFC East tough. The Dolphins are a talented bunch, and I expect this game to be a close, tough contest.
