We are roughly an hour and twenty minutes away from kickoff, meaning we now know who will be playing today, and of course who will be watching like the rest of us.

Rob Gronkowski’s return is officially underway, as he is active for this contest, and Patriots fans around the world can rejoice with their big tight end finally healthy enough to play with the team. Danny Amendola suffered a scary concussion in last week’s win, forcing him to miss today’s game, which will be his fourth missed game of the year. As it was reported yesterday, Aqib Talib did not travel with the team so the Patriots will be without his services in today’s contest. Josh Boyce, the fourth round pick out of TCU, is inactive once again, so I would expect a heavy dose of Austin Collie in the slot as the game moves forward. Special teams ace Matthew Slater is also active for the first time in four weeks, after he suffered a broken wrist.

As for the Jets, Santonio Holmes will be out today as he is dealing with a hamstring issue. His absence certainly will help the Patriots defend the Jets without their top corner Talib. The Jets depth at receiver isn’t exactly star-studded, so hopefully New England is able to handle them this afternoon.
