He’s back.

Well, he’s almost back. Rob Gronkowski, one of the most dominating football players of the last five years could be in uniform for the Patriots this Sunday afternoon. His troubled forearm, which has required four surgeries since breaking it last November, has been cleared by doctors. I think that some people may have been beginning to think that this day would never come, and I’ll admit that I had my doubts, but big number 87’s return is almost complete.

I don’t think I have to stress how important his return would mean to the Patriots offense, as if you have watched this group at all this year, you can tell that Gronk’s presence would be a huge help to this struggling unit. Tom Brady and his rookie receivers are definitely making positive strides, but there is nobody with the skills of a Rob Gronkowski, and I am sure that the results coming from Brady’s bunch, will change with the return of his tight end. Gronkowski may be a bit rusty after his long absence from the football field, which will probably result in a few drops (as if the Pats haven’t had enough of those), but once he gets going, we will quickly be reminded of how dominant Gronk can be.
