Today, the Patriots released their injury report for this Sunday’s game, and it seems like New England just can’t avoid getting hit by the injury bug. This week it comes in the form of a thigh bruise to running back Stevan Ridley. The Patriots have already ruled him out for the Bengals game, and we should hope that is the only game he is held out of. Despite taking a lot of heat for his fumbling problems, Ridley is an extremely talented back, and losing him for an extended period of time would really hurt the team, specifically with Shane Vereen out until week nine.

In other injury related news, both Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola are questionable yet again, but according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the likelihood of seeing Gronk on the field this Sunday is very low. Unfortunately, this is actually a week where I thought the Pats could use them healthy, as Cincinnati boasts one of the best defense’s in the league. Having two matchup nightmares like Gronk and Amendola in the huddle makes attacking a defense like this much easier, but Tom Brady and company may have to do it without them, yet again.
