Peyton is throwing his hands up in protest over his team’s spot on the rankings.

2. Denver Broncos:

BREAKING: Peyton Manning is very good at football. With what looks like the best offense in years, and potentially the best offense that Manning has ever had, the Broncos are rolling right now as they downed the Giants in the Manning Bowl 41-23. Big brother Peyton was fantastic again going 30-43 for 307 yards and two touchdowns, and his top receiver was the unsung hero of the Broncos receiving trio, Eric Decker who caught nine balls for 87 yards. Tight end Julius Thomas, and former Patriot Wes Welker both caught touchdowns again, while Knowshon Moreno might have just won the starting running back position with his 93 yards on 13 carries, and two touchdowns to boot. The defense, while not particularly well-known, had a field day on little brother Eli, picking him off four times, and really making their presence felt against the run, holding the Giants to a paltry 23 yards rushing on the game. Trindon Holliday showed up, and showed why he’s considered one of the best return men in football, breaking an 81 yard punt return for a touchdown. This was another all around spanking from a very good Broncos team, and even though I am not completely sold on their defense, and whether or not Manning can stay healthy another full year with all his neck problems, and decreasing arm strength, I cannot deny how good they’ve looked against two rather solid teams. That’s why they occupy the second spot in this power rankings.
