Stevan Ridley, Kyle Arrington downplayed skirmish

New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley has had a rough camp thus far, as he drew the ire of many after losing two fumbles on Sunday. One of those fumbles was returned for a terrific scoop-and-score by Vince Wilfork, and Ridley followed up that two-fumble performance with another ball on the ground on Tuesday. Bill Belichick obviously values ball security a great deal, and laps are in order for those who fumble.

Ridley also got into a minor scuffle during training camp yesterday, as he was unhappy with a hit from slot corner Kyle Arrington. Minor squabbles are common in training camp, and this is definitely considered a minor fight. Following the incident, both Arrington and Ridley downplayed the skirmish.

Arrington said, ”It’s all love, you know. Whatever happens on the field stays on the field. It’s an emotional game, emotional people. It’s all love though at the end of the day.”

Great quote from Arrington, who also added that he is excited for the Patriots first preseason game. Meanwhile, Ridley had this to say, ”That’s camp, man. That’s all I’m going to say about it. We’re competitive out here and we’re working hard every day. The days are getting long and that’s part of it.”
