Aaron Hernandez not arrested for Odin Lloyd murder?

Alright, now this is an interesting wrinkle. New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is reportedly, per Sports Illustrated, “likely” to get arrested for the murder of semi-pro Boston football player Odin Lloyd, and it was the Boston Globe’s Steve Silva who first reported that Hernandez would be arrested. Now, Silva has tweeted a clarification citing “sources” that Aaron Hernandez’s pending arrest is “not directly connected” to the murder of Lloyd.

This is just the latest update in a case that is filled with conflicting reports, and it is a very helpful tweet from Silva. SI’s report sourced by Pete Thamel and Greg Bedard is the most recent thing out there, but it is certainly possible that Aaron Hernandez is being arrested for something else. But for what? Something minor? Something to try and set him up?

We’ll, as always, keep an eye out for more details regarding Aaron Hernandez, and we’ll see if Silva has anything else to add on why Hernandez will be arrested. So, uh, who else is confused? In a live investigation, there are so many updates from investigators and law enforcement sources, so this stuff tends to happen frequently. That’s why you just have to keep an even mind, read as many sourced reports as possible if you wish to stay updated, and be sure to readily change your thoughts with just a minute’s notice.
