Aaron Hernandez arrest not imminent

The rumors and news continue to fly regarding New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, and it seems like reports are just conflicting each other or continually clarifying information. During a live investigation, new facts are accrued and change old ones at a minute’s pace, so it is important to read through everything and never hold onto one thing as fact for too long. A report this morning from Steve Silva stated that Aaron Hernandez’s arrest was imminent, and he later clarified that it had nothing to do with Odin Lloyd’s murder. Then, Sports Illustrated reported that an arrest is “likely”.

According to the Boston Globe’s Wesley Lowery, state police have stated that current reports (dated to Lowery’s tweet at 12:35 p.m. ET) are untrue and that an arrest of Aaron Hernandez is not imminent. Lowery’s tweet, and it actually came just after the SI report, so it sounds like Pete Thamel and Greg Bedard’s source could be wrong. Or the police are being cautious and trying to slow down the investigation a little bit, thus filling in Lowery in this manner.

Or an arrest isn’t imminent, but it is indeed “likely”, and that the police are still mulling over information regarding arresting Aaron Hernandez. The saga will continue, and Hernandez is reportedly meeting  with his lawyer to talk things over as well.
