The Boston Bruins are now up on the Chicago Blackhawks in the series 2-1, and something tells me that they could just mop up the next two games with Tuukka Rask looking unstoppable in goal. To me, the Bruins became the best team in the NHL after they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7, and the whole junk about their offense not being good enough just made no sense. In the playoffs, defense is paramount, and the Bruins clearly have the best D in the NHL with Rask in goal and Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg on defense. Wait, why am I talking hockey? Cut, cut…this is a New England Patriots blog!
Anyway, New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen stated his love for the Boston Bruins following that crazy win over the Leafs that avoided the kind of choke that marked that one series loss against the Philadelphia Flyers (yeah…that one). Vereen is a huge Bruins fan, at that, based on this custom jersey he was seen wearing. Below is the embedded tweet from the Boston Globe’s Zuri Berry.

Now if you look closely on the sides, Vereen is wearing his number 34 on the Bruins jersey. If you click on this NESN post and scroll down, you’ll see Vereen’s name on the back of his custom Bruins jersey. Sounds like Vereen is, like most of us, enthralled by the incredible Stanley Cup Finals series going on between the Bruins and the Blackhawks, and this custom-made Bruins jersey is just awesome. One more thing, he’s also wearing a Boston Red Sox cap, right?
