Has the window closed for the New England Patriots to win another title?

This has been a hot topic over the past few days. Over at NFL Network, former New Orleans Saint Safety Darren Sharper said the window has closed and has been closed for 10 years. This is a very interesting discussion for any fan of any team, is this statement true? Some say so, some get defensive and don’t agree with it at all. I believe Sharper made some very valid points, but also didn’t even address the newer additions that may help us in the position he refers to. He said that the New England Patriots have been lacking that veteran leadership for the past few seasons.  He believes it has been shut for 10 years, this is kind of ridiculous. Yes, they haven’t won a title in quite some time but has it really closed? No, this team is one of the top 5 teams who can win a championship next season. Who’s in our way to not get to at least the AFC Title game? In my opinion there is 1 team who can stop us and that is the Denver Broncos and aside from them there isn’t anyone who can stop us in the AFC. There are plenty of teams who’s window has been closed and a pure example of that is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are no longer a dangerous threat. They are a team who’s window has closed. If he wants to go out and make this accusations, he better his “team” the Saints can actually make the playoffs and not get caught for breaking the rules…again. That’s just my thought, don’t agree with him one bit, but everyone is entitled to an opinion

Another thing I noticed was that he didn’t even mention the aquistion of S Adrian Wilson who’s going to help our secondary and has that presence we have needed over the past few seasons. I’m not sure why Heath Evans didn’t address that to Sharper, but I don’t agree with his statement one bit because he’s clearly speaking like this because he hates the New England Patriots, why not ask Richard Sherman the same question while we’re a it? It’s quite laughable honestly, but the Patriots are one of the most hated teams in the NFL and people are going to continue to hate on this organization until they win another championship. I believe this team is going to win it all next season, just depends on our defense and if everyone can stay healthy. If the Patriots can remain healthy, watch out NFL we’re coming for another ring!

Had the defense put pressure on the Giants (both SB), the Pats would have won – it came down to one play. And if wasn’t for Gronk’s injuries, we would have certainly won. Each year we’re a step closer to another championship, so yes, I’m not sure what he is talking about it.
