Ahh it’s that time of year again! The sun is out a little longer, the flowers are in bloom, and the Madden cover contest is back up! Back in the day, EA used to chose the athlete themselves, but they got smart and decided to let the consumer decide which NFL player would grace the cover of its award-winning game series. “Madden curse” or not, even players get excited when it comes to the cover vote. Last year, Gronk made this video trying to get fans to chose him over “Megatron” Calvin Johnson to win the cover of Madden ’13. For those of you wondering, I didn’t mistake 2014 for 2025. This year’s edition of Madden is the franchise’s 25th and they are celebrating with the unique name and the unique choices of cover candidates. This year they are pitting “Old School” players of the past against “New School” players of the present. It’s exciting to think that Tedy Bruschi could end up on the cover of Madden 25! Chances are slim he’ll beat out the likes of Joe Montana, but that’s up to you, Pats fans! Since there are a ton of match-ups in Round 1, I’ll just show you my picks and save my analysis for later weeks.
