The New England Patriots had an almost-perfect practice attendance on Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately, as we could foresee the outcome of tight end, Rob Gronkowski’s re-injury on the second offensive play against Houston Texans, the reports stated the inevitable: out and placed on injury reserve.
Patriots cornerback, Alfonzo Dennard, returned back to work and was ready to catch up after missing Wednesday’s practice for “non-injury related” reasons due to a hearing in Nebraska.
Although limited in Wednesday’s and Thursday’s practice, defensive end rookie, Chandler Jones, was also attending practice. Jones did not played the second-half of the divisional-round win over Houston Texans last week due to an ankle injury.
Running back, Danny Woodhead, was seeing in practice with his left thumb wrapped up and he moved from Wednesday’s limited practice to Thursday’s full practice participation.
Other players that were previously listed on Wednesday’s practice as limited in participation that moved to full participation on Thursday’s practice were cornerback Marquice Cole (finger), defensive end Trevor Scott (knee) and offensive lineman Nick McDonald (shoulder).
On Wednesday, during ball-security drill, Coach Bill Belichick tried to sneak a ball loose from wide receiver, Brandon Lloyd, and even knocked him to the ground. That’s Coach Bill Belichick for you!
The players were also reported practicing in sweats and shells on the turf of the Gillette Stadium field Thursday and Friday. This Friday concludes all practice sessions for the week with all active 52-man roster present and accounted for.
