Brandon Lloyd has been listed questionable yet again, but there is no way he misses Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Lloyd has always been limited in practice while being listed with a knee injury, but it’s all just mind games from Bill Belichick. He has a tough matchup in store for him against solid Dolphins corner Sean Smith, who has found his 2010 form again. Lloyd will likely find himself on an island against the only good defensive back on the Dolphins.
The fact that the New England Patriots have listed Julian Edelman questionable is more interesting, because he suffered a concussion against the New York Jets after absorbing a monstrous hit from hulk-like safety LaRon Landry. Edelman fumbled the ball, and there were worries that he would miss the game against the Dolphins after the jarring hit.
But he passed the first round of concussion tests and practiced Wednesday, and Edelman has been able to practice all week. With four touchdowns in the past two games, he has become one of the Pats biggest weapons on offense. Edelman will still need to pass the second round of concussion tests in order to play against the Dolphins, but it looks like he will be playing against Miami.
Edelman has caught 69% of everything thrown at him for a solid average of 7.7 yards per attempt and is one of three receivers on the Patriots with three touchdown receptions.
