Tim Tebow has fractured ribs

After the New York Jets 49-19 loss to the New England Patriots, Tim Tebow revealed that he has two fractured ribs, and this news comes despite him being able to practice fully over the week. Rex Ryan added that Tebow’s ribs have actually gotten worse recently, which is likely one of a few reasons why Tebow was never seen on the field yesterday.

The biggest surprise was seeing that the Jets in fact activated Tebow despite knowing that he wouldn’t be able to play with two fractured ribs. It’s just a bit quizzical.

The Patriots weren’t the only team to have a wide receiver leave the game with a head injury, and the Jets, in fact, had to see two wide receivers go down. Chaz Schilens and Clyde Gates are the only two receivers resembling depth behind Jeremy Kerley and Stephen Hill, so it’s terrible for the Jets to see them both go down in the same game. Julian Edelman suffered a concussion for the Pats.

Muhammad Wilkerson is an incredibly gifted second-year three-technique, and he has emerged as one of the best players on the Jets and one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL. He’s simply dominant against the run, and he was able to return after suffering a minor neck injury in the first-half  of the loss.
