The Buffalo Bills gave the New England Patriots a big scare last week before narrowly losing 37-31, and running back Fred Jackson was a major reason for the Bills success. The notorious Pats-killer showed what he can do when he is healthy by gaining 80 yards on 16 attempts with two rushing touchdowns. He also managed to haul in four passes and was consistently great with an average of exactly five yards per carry.
Jackson, however, was not able to finish the game healthy after leaving with a concussion.
Bills head coach Chan Gailey told the official site, “I think he’s a lot better. He would answer that better than I can, but the report I get is that he feels a lot better. The steps that you have to go through now, everything is going according to plan.”
He hopes to get the star RB back at practice on Wednesday and play in Week 12 after missing the Thursday Night Football victory over the Miami Dolphins. C.J. Spiller said that Jackson should return for the game against the Indianapolis Colts- the Pats Week 11 opponent. Let’s hope Jackson can make it back in time, because I always hate to see tough, talented players like Jackson go down- especially with severe injuries like a concussion.
