The New England Patriots have listed 16 players questionable ahead of their game Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, and that list includes tight end Aaron Hernandez and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. Both players have been regularly listed questionable on the injury report, but Pats fans should worry about the status of one of those two star pass-catchers.
Brandon Lloyd has put in a limited practice each day of the week and is listed on the injury report with a knee injury. However, the Pats have always done that and it’s just to give Lloyd extra rest. He is poised for a big game against the Indianapolis Colts beat up secondary, because Vontae Davis has been ruled out. Cassius Vaughn and the familiar Darius Butler (to Tom Brady, not Lloyd) are going to be the Colts starting corners, with Butler likely lining up against Lloyd.
Albert Breer tweeted yesterday that Aaron Hernandez “is expected to sit out”, and this will be the second straight game that Hernandez will not play in after “re-injuring” the ankle he sprained. The TE was able to play in two games after initially returning from the ankle sprain, but it looks like he aggravated the injury against the New York Jets. Hopefully, he will be able to return next week to face the Jets and exact his revenge upon the worst team in the AFC East.
