Both of the New England Patriots star receivers, Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker, have been listed questionable for Sunday’s home game against the Buffalo Bills. Welker and Lloyd were each limited in practice on Friday and are among 14 players listed questionable on the injury report.
There is little doubt that both star wideouts will be able to play on Sunday, as Lloyd’s knee injury isn’t serious and the listing is just more mind games from Bill Belichick. Welker and Lloyd are well rested after the Week 9 bye week, and I expect Welker to have a monstrous game against the Bills and keep up the scorching pace this year.
He is currently suffering from an ankle injury that was sustained a few weeks ago, but he merely rolled the ankle and it isn’t a serious injury at all. Wes Welker went off the first time the Patriots played Buffalo to the tune of nine receptions for 129 yards. An over/under on receptions at seven and yards at 100 is definitely appropriate, and all fantasy diehards should be starting Welker every week. Lloyd is worth a start as well against a banged up Bills secondary, but he probably won’t do as well as Welker.
Logan Mankins, Steve Gregory, Kyle Arrington, Patrick Chung, Jerod Mayo, Dont’a Hightower, and Brandon Spikes are all listed questionable as well.
