The New England Patriots have ruled out two players for their game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, as defensive end Trevor Scott and linebacker Tracy White will once again be out. White’s foot injury has been serious and has limited him to just five appearances this season, while Scott was injured against the New York Jets. He has not played or practiced since injuring his hamstring against the Jets.
Speaking of the Jets, they ruled out running back Joe McKnight this week.
The New England Patriots have listed a total of 14 players as questionable on the injury report, with Brandon Lloyd, Aaron Hernandez, Wes Welker, and Rob Gronkowski being the most notable. All four of those players will almost certainly play, and Hernandez has practiced every day since Wednesday and appears to be almost fully healed from that severe ankle sprain.
Logan Mankins, Dont’a Hightower, Brandon Spikes, Sebastian Vollmer, Patrick Chung, Kyle Arrington, Jerod Mayo, and Steve Gregory are also players to watch for closely on the injury watch. Gregory has a better chance of playing than Chung, and I can see Mankins and Arrington being out this week. I expect Mankins to play though. Nick McDonald is also listed questionable.
Wide receiver Julian Edelman seems closer to a return, as he has been listed probable with that hand injury. Defensive tackle Kyle Love has once again been listed probable on the injury report.
