The New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams will take center stage at 1:00 p.m. ET in London, England, and here is a look at the players who will not be playing for either team. This includes the recent announcement of a certain star offensive lineman who will not be playing.
New England Patriots
TE Aaron Hernandez- No surprise here
LG Logan Mankins- This was the significant inactive announcement made on the Patriots side, and it’s going to benefit Kendall Langford and rookie Michael Brockers. Donald Thomas is a solid backup, but he will have his hands full against an active interior defensive line.
LB Tracy White- I have a feeling he’s going to be out for the long haul.
FS Steve Gregory
SS Patrick Chung- Still can’t believe both of these guys are out
RB Brandon Bolden- His absence will make way for another big game from Shane Vereen, who will be facing safeties and OLBs that are struggling against explosive backs.
DE Trevor Scott- Injured in last week’s game.
Brandon Lloyd, Wes Welker, and Rob Gronkowski were listed questionable but are all unsurprisingly active.
St. Louis Rams
WR Danny Amendola- Chris Mortensen reported it earlier and it was confirmed shortly later that, as most of us expected, the Rams would wisely hold out Amendola another week despite it almost happening.
LT Roger Saffold- He’s out for the long haul.
LT Wayne Hunter- He may stink, but imagine how bad the guy behind him is. I’ll put the over/under for Chandler Jones at three sacks.
LB Mario Haggan- They will miss the solid tackling backup who should honestly be starting over Rocky McIntosh.
DT Matt Conrath- Was listed questionable on the injury report.
DL Eugene Sims- Was ruled out.
