The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills are set to face off at 1:00 p.m. ET, and here are the players who will not be active for today’s game. One of them is a recent signing that the Pats made in order to shore up the depth on the inside.
New England Patriots
C Matt Tennant- Signed by the Pats for the second time this month, it looked like Tennant’s signing was in response to the hip injury sustained by Logan Mankins that will cost him this game. I thought the Pats brought in Tennant to back up Ryan Wendell and help out the Pats depth against a tough DT duo in Buffalo. It looks like Tennant is one for the future, and he has been on the team’s radar for quite some time.
TE Aaron Hernandez- He’ll probably return in Week 6.
CB Alfonzo Dennard
LG Logan Mankins- That hip injury must be quite the injury, because we all know that Mankins can play through almost anything. Best wishes to him for a full recovery.
WR Julian Edelman- Without him, Wes Welker will have a big say in this game.
DE Justin Francis
DT Brandon Deaderick
On a side note, it’s good to see that Shane Vereen is back to help out Stevan Ridley against the Bills lockdown run defense; the Pats sorely needed their No. 2 RB back from that foot injury.
QB Tarvaris Jackson
RT Sam Young
OL Colin Brown
WR Ruvell Martin
LE Kyle Moore
S Delano Howell
LB Kirk Morrison
