FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Looking to address a weakness from last season, the New England Patriots are auditioning a few different players as kickoff returners in a bid to boost production.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The first break of New England Patriots training camp has arrived, coming after four days of work in front of record crowds that totaled more than 50,000 at the Gillette Stadium practice fields.

Foxborough, Mass., where the expectations following the reigning AFC champion New England Patriots can be quantified — 36,000-plus filled the Gillette Stadium practice field stands and adjacent Patriots Experience park over the first three days of camp. Bill Belichick turned 60 earlier this year, Tom Brady turns 35 this week, and there’s a palpable sense that the time is now for this loaded roster.

FOXBORO — Patriots [team stats] tight end Rob Gronkowski had a rough end to the team’s fourth practice of training camp today. He couldn’t catch a Tom Brady [stats] pass that deflected into Patrick Chung’s hands, and Gronkowski dropped a touchdown pass on his next chance in goal-line drills.

FOXBOROUGH – Stevan Ridley still hears his voice, pushing him, telling him to work harder.
