Jabar Gaffney Back With the New England Patriots

David Butler II-US PRESSWIRE

Wide receiver Jabar Gaffney has signed a contract with the New England Patriots. Drafted by the Texans as the first pick of the second round in the 2002 NFL Draft, this will be the second go around with New England. A favorite receiver of Tom Brady, Gaffney left the Patriots following the 2009 season to join Josh McDaniels on the Denver Broncos.

With McDaniels back running the Patriots offense, and Brandon Lloyd on the other side of the field, Gaffney is a proven receiver who is sure to be a major target in the 2012 season. He demonstrates great body control and, with his length, has the ability to elevate and catch the ball at its highest point. Couple this with the historic accuracy of Tom Brady, and this gives Patriots fans something else to get excited about. With him back in the fold, that brings the number of Patriot receivers to an even dozen.

Lets hope we’re in for a lot of this….
