Darrelle Revis, when asked to describe Coach Bill Belichick, decided to sum it up with one word. ‘Jerk’.
During a filming of ESPN”s Sportcenter, Revis, who was appearing alongside Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, was asked to use word association and say the first thing that came into his head. Topics ranged from Tebow to ‘gronkle’ (the name for Gronks ankle injury). When asked about Bill Belichick, Revis looked forward and said “Jerk”. This drew a bit of surprise from the rest of the crew, and a “Wow, I wasn’t expecting that one” from the young TE. When asked if he had a response, Gronk just said ‘Nah. I was just surprised.’
When his time came to give his thoughts about Rex Ryan, true to Patriot form, Gronkowski returned the answer ‘Entertainer”. When asked about Tim Tebow, Gronkowski cracked the whole set up by saying ‘Starting QB for the Jets’.
Maybe if Revis had a little more dose of Coach “Jerk”, he’d find himself on the happier side of an AFC Championship.
