Sunday hits: Patriots news, notes and more

The Patriots have some definite needs this offseason. One of them is their secondary, which was one of the all-time worst in 2011. One guy that might fill a hole there is Alabama safety Mark Barron. Read a little bit about him over at WEEI.

Randy Moss has thrown his hat back into the NFL ring. But it’s unlikely that he’ll end up with the Patriots, since Bill Belichick might not have forgiven him yet for 2010.

Another priority: The Patriots need to do something about Dan Koppen.

The Patriots’ tight ends this year were as good as anyone has ever seen. Will that continue next year, now that tight ends coach Brian Ferentz is joining his father in Iowa?

If there’s anything you think needs to be discussed, leave it in the comments section below. It’s going to be a long offseason, and let’s hope the Patriots make some big moves.
