Kevin Faulk Among Patriots' Super Bowl XLVI Inactives

The longest-tenured Patriots, RB Kevin Faulk, is among the Patriots’ inactives for Super Bowl XLVI. That’s a tough one for the veteran, and one can’t help but wonder if he will retire after this season. At this point, he just doesn’t fit into what the Patriots are doing due to his declining speed and athleticism. When you’ve been playing since 1999, it’s bound to happen sooner or later. Here are the rest of the inactives for the Pats:

RB Kevin Faulk
QB Ryan Mallett
RB Shane Vereen
LB Gary Guyton
OL Donald Thomas
C Nick McDonald
DL Ron Brace

Here are the Giants’ inactives:

RB Da’Rel Scott
WR Ramses Barden
OL Jim Cordle
OL James Brewer
DL Jimmy Kennedy
DE Justin Trattou
LB Mark Herzlich

Tough break for cancer survivor and former BC linebacker Mark Herzlich, but I expect big things from him in the future.
