The New England Patriots were victorious yesterday over the Baltimore Ravens, winning a thrilling game 23-20. It was a team win, but there were some players, or a group of players, that stood out. Who was the best? Vote in the poll below! I almost put Billy Cundiff in the poll, but that would have been a little harsh, no? Here are the nominees:
Vince Wilfork
The big man stepped up big, totaling 6 tackles, a sack, and a QB hit. You can read more about Vince’s performance by clicking HERE.
Sterling Moore
Moore had 2 tackles and 2 passes defensed, but those 2 passes defensed were huge. Moore broke up the Ravens’ last two passes, one a would-be touchdown to Lee Evans, forcing the eventual 32-yard missed field goal.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
The Law Firm ran hard, totaling 68 yards on 15 carries and a big touchdown. He ran with patience and authority, and probably should have gotten at least 5 more touches.
Offensive Line
Despite Tom Brady’s poor performance, it wasn’t due to too much pressure. The offensive line did a good job overall protecting Brady, allowing only 1 sack and 3 QB hits. They also did a phenomenal job run blocking against the Ravens’ front seven.
