Thanksgiving Football Picks

There will be three games once again this Thanksgiving with the Lions and Cowboys each playing in their traditional Thanksgiving games. The NFL Network also has a game at night. All three games should be highly entertaining as all six teams are coming off of wins last week. The early afternoon game, features the Lions hosting the undefeated Packers. This game should be highly scoring as both offenses have been playing extremely well of late. The second game sees the Cowboys hosting the Dolphins. Although the Dolphins have struggled much of the season, they have been playing well of late and the Cowboys are in a dog fight for first place in the NFC East. The nightcap is a battle of the Harbaugh brothers. Jim is the head coach of the 49ers, while the older John is head coach of the Ravens.

Head writer Jamie Pacheco and I continue with our weekly predictions. We both like an upset in the first game with the Lions handing the Packers their first loss. I think the Lions defense is probably the best defense the Packers have faced this season and could give Aaron Rodgers some trouble. Also, the Lions offense can put it points and are not afraid to get in a shootout. We both like the Cowboys over the Dolphins in the second game. In the nightcap I like the home Ravens, while Jamie likes the 49ers. Both are one of the better teams in each conference, but I like the Ravens at home.

Be sure to check back on Saturday for the rest of our week 12 picks!
