Jerod Mayo Returns, Questionable for Game vs Cowboys

The Patriots got a surprising boost Friday when LB Jerod Mayo practiced with the team less than two weeks after spraining his MCL. His estimated time out was 4-6 weeks. Not only did he practice, but he is listed as “Questionable” (50/50 chance of playing) for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Personally, I don’t think he’ll play with the Pats’ bye week right around the corner, but his quick return is remarkable. RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis, who sat out Thursday’s practice with a toe injury, also practiced with the team Friday.

Here is the complete injury report for the Patriots and the Cowboys:

  • S Josh Barrett (thumb/hamstring)

  • CB Leigh Bodden (thumb)
  • CB Ras-I Dowling (hip)
  • DL Albert Haynesworth (back)
