Pats Could Be Without Haynesworth, 4 DB’s Against Raiders

The Patriots released their latest injury report, and they could once again be short-handed in the secondary on Sunday. Cornerbacks Leigh Bodden (groin), Kyle Arrington (chest), and Ras-I Dowling (hip), and safety Patrick Chung (hand) are all listed as Questionable for Sunday’s game in Oakland. Dowling did not practice today while the rest of the aforementioned defensive back were limited.

As bad as that sounds, the Pats could also be without a vital cog in stopping RB Darren McFadden.

DT Albert Haynesworth (back) is also listed as Questionable and did not practice today, making it the second day in a row that he did not practice. The Raiders have a strong rushing attack, led by Darren McFadden, and having Haynesworth in the rotation on the defensive line would go a long way in helping slow that running game down.

TE Aaron Hernandez (knee), RT Sebastian Vollmer (back), and DL Mike Wright (concussion) are ruled out of Sunday’s game. Other “questionable” players include DL Shaun Ellis (knee), LB Gary Guyton (hamstring), WR Taylor Price (hamstring), and OL Ryan Wendell (calf). LB Dane Fletcher (thumb) and S Josh Barrett are both listed as Probable.
