Yesterday, I passed along news that S Patrick Chung would not play Sunday when the Patriots play the Buffalo Bills. After having thumb surgery and not practicing Wednesday and Thursday, that seemed like a certainty. However, that report is now in question because Chung participated in practice earlier today. He sprinted past reporters and when asked if he was playing Sunday, he said, “I’m keeping it low.”
What that means is anybody’s guess, but the Patriots sure could use Chung against the Bills. He’s a young player coming into his own in the secondary and is performing well in both pass defense and run defense. Chung played a large role in eliminating Antonio Gates last week against the Chargers. Impatient Patriots fans will be anxiously awaiting the latest injury report and await word on Chung’s status, as will the Buffalo Bills.
