Chad Ochocinco Tells Commissioner Goodell He's Reimbursing Mason Foster

A few days ago, Chad Ochocinco tweeted to Bucs rookie LB Mason Foster that he would reimburse him should the NFL fine him for the helmet-to-helmet hit he laid on Ocho during their preseason game. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello responded by saying that nobody could pay a fine for a player expect the player himself. Well, the decision has been made and the NFL is fining Foster $20,000 for his hit on Ochocinco. Foster’s agent has stated that he will appeal the fine. What about Ochocino? Chad tweeted NFL Commissar Roger Goodell and informed the NFL exec that he will be reimbursing Mason Foster, and that Goodell should contact him if he has any questions. Here is the tweet:

@nflcommish Dad no disrespect but I don’t agree with @mason_foster fine n I’ll be reimbursing him personally. Please feel free to contact me

Rut ro! I wonder how Bill Belichick feels about this. This isn’t the sort of thing he likes in tight-lipped, closed-door New England. I still extend Chad big props and a tip-of-the-cap for his gesture towards Foster and his wanting a physical game. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
