Vince Wilfork Releases Statement Regarding Miami Hurricanes Scandal

Yesterday, I passed along the news that Vince Wilfork was among many NFL players named in an illicit benefits scandal that the NCAA is currently investigating. Allegedly, several Miami Hurricanes received cash, VIP seating in clubs, drinks, and other benefits from Nevin Shapiro, a man currently in jail for a multimillion dollar Ponzi scheme. In an effort to be fair and balanced, I will also pass along a statement released by Vince Wilfork via his Twitter account (@wilfork75):

I am aware of the report that has claims that involve me while at the U. While the NCAA and the U conduct their investigations @Mrs75 and I believe that it is not appropriate for us to comment. Thanks for your continued support and confidence in me.
