Patriots Ranked Second in Preseason Power Rankings

We are a mere two days away from the first preseason games of 2011. The Patriots will play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville to open things up for 2011, and with free agency slowing down, ESPN has decided to put together its first power ranking of the preseason. One would expect the Pats to be high in the rankings. They were 14-2 last season and lost little but gained a lot in terms of talent during the offseason. How high are they? High enough to beat out the AFC Champion Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pats are ranked second in the NFL behind the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers. Of course, preseason power rankings aren’t worth the electrons used to display the web page, but they’re still fun to look at, especially when your team in near the top.
