Belichick Scoops Reporters, Announces Re-Signing of Gerard Warren

Bill Belichick did something today in his news conference that is rarely seen nowadays with the vast resources available on the web and social media – he scooped the media. Before it became public knowledge, he announced that the team re-signed defensive lineman Gerard Warren. Warren joined the club last season on draft weekend and filled in well at defensive end for Ty Warren when Ty when down with a hip injury in camp. Gerard Warren has played in a 4-3 before in Cleveland, Denver, and Oakland. He played mostly defensive tackle and would figure to be part of that rotation on this team.

Last season, Warren had 3.5 sacks operating mostly out of the 3-4 defense.
