Patriots to Bring Back LT Matt Light for Two Years

Greg Bedard (@Greg_A_Bedard) from The Boston Globe is reporting that league sources have informed him the Patriots have agreed to terms on a new two-year deal with LT Matt Light. The offensive line has looked somewhat patchwork without LG Logan Mankins, who cannot practice until Aug. 4 due to the new CBA rules, and no left tackle. First-round pick Nate Solder has yet to sign a contract with the Patriots and Light was a free agent, leaving the team without its top two options at the position.

Even with Matt Light on-board, the CBA rules apply and he won’t be able to practice until Aug. 4 as well. The re-signing of Light is a big move, however, as it gives the Patriots some time to get Solder ready to play, whenever he finally signs a contract.
