Patriots Re-Sign Brandon McGowan and Tracy White

The New England Patriots are bringing back two players who figure to be core special teams players, safety Brandon McGowan and linebacker Tracy White. White joined the team last season and became a solid special teams contributor. McGowan started 11 games in 2009 and totaled 79 tackles. However, he was exposed in pass coverage and opposing quarterbacks picked on him quite often. Both moves were made likely with depth but mainly special teams considerations in mind.
