The Patriots reported to camp on Wednesday at Gillette Stadium to take their conditioning tests, and lo and behold, every player has reportedly passed the conditioning test. This was tweeted from the Boston Herald‘s Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet):
I can’t remember the last time every member of the Patriots passed the conditioning test on the first day.
Training camp is usually populated with a decent group of players rehabbing or conditioning on the far field from fan stands. Unless any rookies or free agents yet to be signed fail the conditioning test, all players will be present and accounted during the practice sessions. All this despite a lockout which prevented players from participating in team offseason conditioning programs and mini-camps.
Maybe there’s really something to the players reducing the amount of OTA’s in order to get healthier?
