Patriots Announce Training Camp Dates and Times

The Patriots have announced the first two dates and times for the opening of training camp to the public. Here’s the official announcement:

Thursday
Practices – 9:30-11:30am and 3:30-5:30pm
Patriots Experience 11:00am – 4:00pm
Both sessions are unpadded practices

Friday
Practices – 9:30-11:30am and 3:30-5:30pm
Patriots Experience 11:00am – 4:00pm
Both sessions are unpadded practices

You may be asking yourself, “There’s two practices  each day…I thought there were no more two-a-days?” Glad you asked!

Teams may have two practices, under some restrictions. Unpadded practices may last a maximum of four hours, and you can see here that Bill Belichick has broken them up into two two-hour sessions. Padded practices can be a maximum of three hours per day. On those days, the Pats will likely hold only one camp practice. Don’t expect much from these first couple of practices, as it will likely be positional work and some simple walk-throughs with the plays.

Still, I’m just excited to see football back, especially in New England!
