NFL Network Insider Jason La Canfora has put together a list of the top contenders to make it to the Super Bowl this season, and surprise surprise, the New England Patriots are right in the mix. The team with the NFL’s best regular-season record is expected to be in contention yet again for a Super Bowl appearance. With the Bruins winning the 2011 Stanley Cup, the Patriots are now the team in Boston with the longest title drought. It’s been 6 years since the Pats won their last Super Bowl (2005). Can they snap that title drought? Here’s what La Canfora said in terms of New England’s contention:
They had the best regular-season record last year, have the best quarterback in the NFL, the best coach, and an emerging young defense. Most definitely in the mix.
OK, I’m convinced. What do you think? Rate the Patriots’ chances to make it to the Super Bowl in the poll after the jump on a scale of 1-5, with ’1′ being no chance in hell they make it to the Super Bowl, and ’5′ being it’s money in the bank.
