Wes Welker Voted 50th-Best NFL Player of 2010

The NFL Network has been running a series every Sunday where they unveil 10 players from their 100 Best Players of 2010 List, as voted on by the players themselves. So far, the only Patriot to show up has been LB Jerod Mayo, who was voted at number 62. Last night, players 41-50 were presented, and Patriots WR Wes Welker came in at number 50. He was presented by current Bills coach Chan Gailey, who called said, “…bottom line, he’s a playmaker.”   He also noted that Welker has “a lot of the intangibles we like,” and, “…he’s the guy that everybody compares the next guy to. Can he be the next Wes Welker?”
