Patriots RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis, the “Law Firm”, enjoyed the best season of his career in 2010. He ran for over 1,000 yards and scored 13 touchdowns, despite playing in an offense that relies mainly on QB Tom Brady’s arm and sharing time in the backfield with Danny Woodhead, among others. Due to his success in 2010, Green-Ellis was ranked in the top 20 of NFL.com analyst Pat Kirwan’s Best Running Backs list, which included 45 of the NFL’s best backs. Green-Ellis was ranked 17th overall, or 2nd in Kirwan’s “D” group. Hereis Kirwan’s take on the Law Firm:
He’s in the shadow of Tom Brady, but look at his production: Tied for second in rushing touchdowns (13) and rushed for more than 1,000 yards while averaging just 14 carries per game.
