Patriots Wrap Up Day 2 of “Brady” Workouts

The New England Patriots held their second session of what could be called “full team” workouts today at Boston College Alumni Stadium, led by QB Tom Brady. The team held its first session yesterday, and both sessions have been closed off to the media and the public. Therefore, there’s not a ton to report about, but here are a few tidbits that caught my eye:

  • Both sessions have been very well attended, with a majority of the players flying in from their homes in various parts of the country.
  • Rookie QB Ryan Mallett hit WR Matthew Slater with a 65-yard bomb.
  • Veteran Kevin Faulk, who is coming off season-ending ACL surgery and is currently a free agent, was in attendance and running around with his (former?) teammates.
  • Tom Brady cut back-up QB Brian Hoyer’s media interview to about 23 seconds, reminding him that there’s a “no media interviews” rule at the workouts.

You can read some other notes and observations from reporters Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston and Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald who were at the workouts and trying to sneak a peek through the fence.
