Hernandez Photo Wins NFL’s Top Prize

The Pro Football Hall of Fame just concluded its 43rd annual professional photo contest, and the winner is a scene from the New England Patriots’ 2010 season. The photo that won the Dave Boss Award of Excellence, 2010 Photo of the Year in the “action” category comes from the Patriots-Packers regular-season game. TE Aaron Hernandez is high-stepping into the end zone for a touchdown with Green Bay’s Sam Shields on the ground on his hands and knees looking dejected. It’s a pretty sweet photo. The title of the photo is, “Thrill and Agony.”
