The pick is in…

And with the 17th pick in the 2011 draft, the New England Patriots have selected Nate Solder offensive tackle from Colorado.  A bit of a shocker.  It appears that the Pats are putting a premium on protecting Tom Brady.  Solder will not need to play right away with Matt Light at left tackle.  The Pats will most likely focus on defense with their next pick.  Good pick, with an eye to the future, for the Pats.
