Rams’ Bradford, Lions’ Suh Earn Top Rookie Honors

The St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford and the Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh were voted the AP Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year, respectively, in a landslide. No Patriots received votes for Offensive Rookie of the Year but Patriots CB Devin McCourty received 2 votes for Defensive Rookie of the Year, the only player other than Suh to receive any votes for the award. Bradford had 44 total votes, with Tampa Bay’s Mike Williams coming in second with 4 votes. Ndamukong Suh received 48 votes.

Tomorrow, the Comeback Player of the Year award winner will be announced. Wes Welker is a strong candidate for that award after returning to the field less than a year removed from ACL surgery. On Super Bowl Sunday, the MVP award will be announced, and Tom Brady is the favorite to win that award in addition to the Offensive Player of the Year award he won earlier this week.
