“In need of a spark after falling behind by 10 points, the Patriots received one from 313-pound guard Dan Connolly. With just over two minutes to play in the first half, the practice-squad regular cradled a squib kick and motored 71 yards for the longest kickoff return by an offensive lineman in NFL history. Three plays later, the Patriots scored to take momentum into the half.”
