Like last week, QB Tom Brady was not present for the first day of practice. Brady missed last Wednesday’ practice with foot and the obligatory right shoulder ailments, but returned to practice on Thursday and played in Sunday night’s game. Brady said at a press briefing that he was, “doing well,” and, “looking forward to the game this weekend.” I fully expect Brady to play Sunday and he very likely will return to practice tomorrow. NFL Network contributor Albert Breer earlier tonight on NFL Total Access suggested that the Pats may be trying to limit Brady’s “pitch count” to save his throwing arm. He also added that Brady did not limp when he was seen walking around the locker room. I wouldn’t be worried about Brady being ready for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Also missing from practice were DL Myron Pryor (back) and S Jarrad Page (calf) while RB Fred Taylor (toe), CB Jonathon Wilhite (hip), and G Stephen Neal (shoulder) were limited in practice.
