My latest article has been posted on NFL.com’s Blog Blitz, and in it I discuss the addition of Logan Mankins to the Patriots roster. He has to be considered as an addition and not someone simply re-entering the line-up, because we haven’t seen the Pro Bowl guard at all since the 2009 season ended. Here is an excerpt from the article:
“The return of Logan Mankins has to be akin to a baseball team trading or signing a big-name player at the All-Star break. He (finally) reported to the team this week about two weeks earlier than anticipated and immediately is a boost to the offensive line. The good news is that the line has held up strong without him in the lineup, so it stands to reason that it should only improve.”
