QB Tom Brady has been voted Player of the Week for Week One here at Musket Fire by you the fans, narrowly beating S Pat Chung. Brady finished with 31% of the vote while Chung had 29% of the vote. Chung was leading for most of the voting period but Brady pulled out the win late in the voting. Even though he lost, I think the voting clearly shows the impression Chung made the first game of his career as a starter. Chung was all over the place, leading the team with 16 total tackles. Brady was his usual self, going 25 of 35 for 258 yards, 3 touchdowns, no interceptions, and a QB rating of 120.9. The Pats are going to need both players this week against stiff competition from their divisional rival New York Jets out at the Meadowlands. The Jets are desperate for a win after losing their opener last week to the Ravens. If the cocky Jets start 0-2, we’ll get a good look at how all of those egos and personalities in New York can take the pressure or if the team heads in a downward spiral.
